The Watercress Rapidly Deployable Sensor Kit (RDSK) provides an immediate, high‑assurance intrusion detection solution for situations where fixed sensors have failed, cabling has been damaged, or emergency protection is required. Designed for rapid deployment in critical national infrastructure environments, RDSK allows engineers to restore security coverage without the need for civil works, cabling or system downtime.

 

Each RDSK uses Sentinor’s proven wireless intrusion detection technology, combining seismic recognition, magnetic and lever‑switch detection, and dual‑float switch integration to deliver reliable, multi‑layer protection across hatches, doors and access points. The sensors communicate using encrypted radio, ensuring cyber-secure alarm transmission even in demanding or compromised environments.

 

The kit includes a dedicated radio receiver, engineered for quick and simple integration into any Enhanced+ system. Once connected, alarms from the deployed wireless sensors are processed and managed just like fixed Watercress sensors, providing operators with consistent, trusted protection and full situational awareness.

The Standalone 4G Sensor is a fully self‑contained intrusion detection unit designed to protect individual access points, hatches and doors across critical infrastructure—without the need for cabling, analysers or supporting systems. Powered by an internal long‑life battery and equipped with an onboard 4G GSM modem, it provides reliable, CNI‑grade protection.

 

Using the same proven detection technologies as Sentinor’s other sensors—including seismic recognition algorithms, a toughened magnetic switch, a lever switch, and dual‑float switch integration—the 4G Sensor delivers multi‑layered detection with exceptional immunity to false alarms. It identifies genuine intrusion attempts while ignoring environmental noise, ensuring dependable performance in challenging operational environments.

 

When an attack is detected, the sensor transmits encrypted SMS alerts directly from the device, without the requirement of an Enhanced+ analyser. This makes it ideal for remote sites, isolated assets, or locations where full analyser‑based infrastructure is unavailable or unnecessary. Alerts can be sent straight to Sentinor’s FlightDesk system for centralised monitoring, or directly to designated operational contacts for immediate action.

 

Engineered for clean installation, the battery‑powered design allows the sensor to be fitted to a wide range of industry‑standard hatches and doors with minimal disruption.
