FlightDesk
Centralised platform for alarm monitoring and response
FlightDesk is Sentinor’s centralised alarm management platform, designed for control rooms responsible for monitoring protected critical national infrastructure sites. Purpose‑built for clarity, reliability and operational efficiency, FlightDesk gives operators real‑time visibility of alarms, events and site activity across an entire estate.
FlightDesk is powered by three integrated components:

Modem Collection Rack – receives encrypted SMS alarms and status events from protected sites.

Collection Server – verifies and processes incoming events and stores all data securely within a protected database.

FlightDesk Application – the operational interface used to view alarms, monitor sites and manage incidents.
Within the application, operators can view the live alarm status of every site using the MapView, which presents locations at regional or individual site level. Large estates can be divided into multiple regions to simplify navigation and give operators a clear overview during busy periods.
FlightDesk also supports collaborative working. Operators can log session notes, share information and maintain a clear record of site‑specific actions. Where supported by alarm analysers, operators can listen to captured audio or view snapshot imagery, helping to verify alarms quickly and confidently.
The system stores all alarms, media and operator actions, allowing comprehensive reports to be generated—including operator activity, site performance, environmental events and non‑reporting site reports. Data can be filtered by time, date, site and event type, and exported for audit or analysis.

Modem Collection Rack
Event collection platform for alarm verification and processing
The Modem Collection Rack is Sentinor’s dedicated event‑collection platform for alarm analysers and sensors, designed to ensure fast, reliable delivery of alarms and status events from protected sites to control‑room environments. Installed within monitoring centres and control rooms, it forms a core part of the FlightDesk system, providing a resilient link between site-installed alarm analysers and the operators who manage them.
Housed within a compact, rack‑mounted unit, the system contains four 4G GSM modems that continuously receive encrypted SMS alarms from alarm analysers across the estate. Incoming messages are automatically processed and securely forwarded to the Collection Server using FTP over LAN, where they are verified, stored, analysed and made available to the FlightDesk application for real‑time viewing.
The Modem Collection Rack is designed for operational reliability, supporting high‑volume event traffic and providing a robust communications backbone for critical‑infrastructure monitoring. Whether managing a small cluster of sites or a national estate, it ensures that every alarm, status update and operator action is captured and delivered without interruption.
